Gotta love moms 😉
The White Out has got to be one of the funkiest eye makeup ideas ever dreamt up by a female with an eyelash curler. If you want a look with an otherworldly appeal, this one is it.
Start by curling your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Next, add three or more coats of white eyeshadow – a pearl or metallic formula works best. Now, line those lids with white eyeliner. Use a nice thick line and add a light coating of petroleum jelly so they take on a special sheen. Finish off with several coats of jet-black mascara. (For an extra E.T kick, use glitter mascara.)
Soul Surfer: Starring AnnaSophia Robb, Helen Hunt, Lorraine Nicholson, Carrie Underwood, and Dennis Quaid. (And Bethany Hamilton herself is also in a scene!!!)
You may or may not of heard the story of a young girl named Bethany Hamilton.
“On October 31, 2003, at the age of 13 , Hamilton went for a morning surf along Tunnels Beach, Kauai with best friend Alana Blanchard and Alana’s father and brother. Around 7:30 a.m., with numerous turtles in the area, she was lying on her surfboard with her left arm dangling in the water, when a 14–15 foot long tiger shark attacked her, ripping her left arm off just below the shoulder. The Blanchards helped paddle her back to shore, then Alana’s father fashioned a tourniquet out of a surfboard leash and wrapped it around the stump of her arm, before rushing her to Wilcox Memorial Hospital. By the time she had gotten there she had lost over 60% of her blood. Her father was supposed to have knee surgery that morning, but she took his place in the operating room. She then spent seven more days in recovery at the hospital. Despite the trauma of the incident, Hamilton was determined to return to surfing and did get back into the water. Less than one month after the incident, she returned to her board and went surfing again. Initially, she adopted a custom-made board that was longer and slightly thicker, making it easier to paddle. She has observed that she has to kick a lot more to make up for the loss of her left arm. After teaching herself to surf with one arm, on January 10, she entered a major competition. She is now back to using competitive performance short-boards.” (To read more about Bethany, you can visit her site: http://bethanyhamilton.com/about/bio/)
But back to the movie. This movie is based off of Bethany’s book, “Soul Surfer”. Normally, the producers mess up somewhere along the way and add or take away details. This movie was exactly what I imagined it’d be, if not even better! It follows the story excellently, and the actors that were chosen played their parts very very well! I know for me the movie wanted me to take up surfing again, and it inspired me not only to do what people say is impossible, but to have stronger faith. It is definitely a family movie! I recommend this for everyone!
