Eating Healthy: Pineapple-Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

Imagine, sitting in the shade, with your favorite book, swaying in the breeze all nestled in your rainbow-striped cabana, listening to the sounds of nature…Or your noisy kids or siblings roughing a few feet away. Ah summer! This delectable recipe is for a pineapple-strawberry smoothie. A healthy, yet VERY tasty alternative to a sundae. 😉 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cubed fresh or drained canned pineapple
  • 1 cup pineapple or orange juice
  • 1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 ice cubes, crushed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (it works with frozen ones as well, but fresh ones blend faster & easier)

PREPARATION

  1. Combine pineapple, pineapple/orange juice, yogurt, strawberries, water and ice cubes in a blender; blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately! 😉
